I am back from camp! Ethelonter 5 was a blast, totally awesome!! Since everything is still rather fresh in my head, I shall blogging about the camp starting from day 0 (Sunday) of SDE FOC.
Day 0- Celebrated Pat's bday at west coast park. Quite happy that it turned out rather successful. Plan was to blindfold Pat all the way from clementi mrt station to wcp & once she removed the blindfold, she will c a heartshape being formed using candles. It was super pretty! After the celebration+ dinner, we headed back to sde. Managed to learnt the mass dance but seriously, altho the dance is super nice, the steps were rather complicated & not easy! After that, helped out with fright night preparation. Then, went to bathe and chop chop finish up discussing our grp identifier & cheers so that we could all rest early.
Day 1(FOC)- Woke up rather early as we needed to be ready by 8am since freshies were expected to arrive at 830am. My grp name is backstreet boys aka BB which consisted of fellow ogls like wansu, zhengrong,shumei & khairul.The sing song find og thing wasnt that successful cuz in the end, freshies just started asking around. Soon, got all of our freshies and we started the introduction. Not too bad i guessed but something was just missing. For some apparent reason, I cant seem to get high, I cant be myself. At least the freshies are rather nice and enthu. After lunch, went to set up my amazing race station. Esther & me were in charge of the nose-hand-legs station and we waited pratically super long for the 1st grp to appear. Fortunately, both of us know each other so it wasnt that boring. To end off the amazing race, everyone gathered at the takeshi area. Basically, all freshies have to climb up a canvas mat placed on a super steep slope, is actually an annual sde tradition whereby freshies have to work together in order to reach the top. When all of us ogls saw the whole process, we were glad we were in last yr batch! This yr batch of guys are super not gentlemanly can, girls actually formed the base instead of the guys! Furthermore, they took like 1 hr plus for all freshies to reach the top unlike our batch which took only 45 mins. At night, was fate night whereby couples are being paired up are allowed to interact without seeing their partners. I was assigned to this grp of ppl who could talk non stop so I was very bored, almost falling asleep while standing. Anyway, I was so glad that when fate night finally ended cuz it means I could rushed back to eusoff hall to grab my stuff & off to temasek hall to join my fellow kahu-ers! I really love the familiar feeling once I saw the csc ppl.. with everyone saying hi, suaning me and stuff. Quickly put my bags down & went with kahu for supper at fong seng! Haha apparently, some foc grps were there as well so I was attempting to hide so that they would not see me.
Day 1( E5)- I woke up feeling extremely excited to meet the freshies. After breakfast, kahu got ready set out to clementi station. Upon arriving, got the freshies to settle admin stuff 1st b4 starting the introduction. It was super fun + funny but I think most of the time, I was being suaned at. So glad that hui xin bought whistles for all of us cuz we dun need to shout to be HIGH! haha whistle power:) Follwing that was internal hunt in which I was station ic with wei bin for toadstool saga. At night was mysterious journey.. Since I missed it last yr, it was an eye-opener! Haha it seemed that councillors & stations ics were having fun starching freshies. Thanks to wei bin & wilson that I got starch all over me la! I could really feel myself peeling..haha:) Oh I tried the slide thing since I was deprived of it last yr..it was super fun!!!
Day2- External hunt!!!! Jenn was the neutral for kahu! Haha bet she must have loads of fun since my freshies were super nice to her:) Went to visit touch seniors & trybe in which the latter seems interesting. It reminded me of heartware network somehow. On the way back to sch, I think I almost died laughing. The few of us councillors, me,hui xin, chantal,choon guan, luke, kiat li & joachim were playing our fav HUH-WHAT-WHY aka HAHA-HEHE-WAHAHA game. I think we were making so much noise in the train & i seriously could not stop laughing. At night, b4 cluedo was SP. Since I had nth much to do, I went ard disturbing ppl. Oh & there was this guy, he super 'mean' can.. apparently, me,shao zhi & hui xin went to talk to him since his sp went home so we identified ourselves as destroyer,(oops cant remember sz nickname) & chipmunk respectively. He was happily chatting with us & when it came to the station games, he asked to play with all of 3 of us & we obliged. After everything, he actually told us that all along he could see us! Annoying right? Anyway, after that was my much anticipated CLUEDO! Haha kudos to the cast, u guys did a great job!
Day 3- Mass games was crazy! This yr mass games was so much better than last yr! I was station ic for the raindrop obstacle with jinfeng,val,choo min & dequan. My fav part was the finale whereby everyone just starting throwing waterbombs at each other! I think half the time I was trying to avoid gabriel & wei bin but in the end, I still got myself all WET! Oh there was this part whereby freshies all gang up to aim at us councillors. Haha super duper FUN. Then, I had to rush all the way back to sch cuz I was in- charge of the faculty talk for sde. After faculty talk was csc talk then followed by rvp talks & the respective up- coming special project talks. At night was MOVIE DATE. Haha since I was not involved, was waiting at lt 25 with fellow kahu councillors. We ended up playing the guinea pig game which was super hilarious. As freshies return, we played the saddist ouch obi obi game. Poor sz got such a big bruise!
Day 4- SENTOSA! The weather that day was not sunny at all thus it felt weird. Haha since my station was at the two towers, spent a substantial amt of time under the shelter. Oh for the last set with kahu & grp 5, kahu lost & since grp 5 used the sabo card, every1 in kahu had to accept the extreme makeover forfeit. Unfortunately, I was not spared too! And after that, everyone was laughing at my face!! So mean!! After that, I quickly rushed all the way to my fav wu gui station whereby my grp was against almido. After that station, went to prepare my finale station with sock hoon & jun seng. We were so sleepy that we just slept on the canvas mat while waiting for the freshies to arrive. Our station was super chaotic cuz most grps didnt bring along their hula hoops but thankfully everything turned out fine in the end. For finale, grp 4 came in 1st followed by KAHU! haha so happy! Anyway, after that went to bathe and once everyone was ready..we headed off to pasir ris coasta sands!!
SP revelation was so romantic. Haha went around taking pictures and as usual suaning germaine and her sp. After a while got rather bored, so me, sz,wilson, victor,choon guan & kiat li went to get get dinner b4 sitting down in a circle. I seriously think we can't keep quiet for 1 sec so long as we are together. Started to play our fav game once again. Finally finished out dinner and we went to the funtion room where talentime was going to be held. In my opinion, I preferred last yr talentime. It was so much more engaging & fun. However, talentime ended off quite well. The last part which was mass singing got all of us all HIGH. I think by the end of it, I totally lost my voice! Oh ya, when the e5 video was shown, I felt super sad. Time passes so fast, in the twinke of an eye, e5 has come to an end. All the fun+memories we as councillors have during & after the game trials & the actual 5 days. However, there was 1 part in the video which sabo-ed me.. Apparently at the wu gui station, after the end of the game, all councillors were supposed to roll down towards the sea with the freshies as a grp. I wanted to but cuz lee xian stopped halfway & I thot something happened to her so I stopped. Then after that we realised everyone was way down already so we decided to just walk down. Unfortunately, all these was being captured & when my grp ppl saw the video, EVERYONE just turned their head towards me & started 'scolding' me! Haha, I almost died can cuz they refused to listen to my explanation! So evil, lee xian was in it too! Haha then after the whole thing, they made me stand in the centre of them & started the " you very lazy" cheer!! Gosh, all thanks to the pub efficiency man:(
Day 5- Prize presentation:) Started off with the best SP and Ann(mich ee) from KAHU & king kong from grp 4 won. Next was most romantic sp which I 4got which pair won. Following that was Best Grp in E5. Haha I really thought grp 2-almido will win cuz they appeared to be winning most of the games & tt grp quite enthu too. So when kit said she will walked towards the winning grp & started walking towards kahu direction,all of us thought it was a trick expecting her to change her direction after awhile. Surprisingly, when she passed the prize to hui xin, we were all jumping & shouting for joy!!!! I am super elated that history once repeated itself as my grp last yr also won BEST GRP! Twice in 2 consecutive yrs:):) Most importantly, I am glad that I managed to achieve my aim cuz on the 1st day, I remembered telling the girls freshies that we must strive to be the best grp in e5. And WE DID IT! So proud of all KAHU-ers!!!
After that was mass photo taking!! From individual grps to mochamelts(e4 grp) to gaw etc. After that, went back to the chalet to slack for awhile before getting ready to go home. But b4 that, kahu went to have lunch together. I was so sleepy that I could fall asleep any moment while talking.
To end off, I would like to express my gratitude to my dearest hui xin & joachim for being such a wonderful KC & AKC respectively for providing such gd welfare. Hui xin for constantly making sure we are alright & joachim for preparing 3 legs cooling water & red bull as well as carrying our valuables(victor too). In addition, to all my fellow councillors, I really had lots of fun with you guys! Hopefully we will continue to keep in touch & must organise more outings ok?? We shall always remain LOUD, HIGH & CRAPPY ok?
