.:. .:.

Paint-A-Home 2008 officially came to an end yest. Although I am glad that there will be no more of washing of the paint tray, rollers etc, I am sad cuz it also means that no more working with the pah oc ppl! All thanks to my big mouth who suggested posting my gan yan(reflection) in the pah yahoo grp now everyone is bugging me abt it! Haha ok maybe I shall post a short one here first. If my gan yan don't end up too long, perhaps I will consider posting here too?

To begin with, I want to thank all volunteers who took the effort & time to come down to JCH to help with the PAINTING!

Haha ok, let me start.. Well, Paint-A-Home 08(PAH 08) is my very first csc special project (sp) ever since I joined csc. I still remembered vividly the day when ikea asked me if I would like to join pah 08 OC with her. At that pt of time, I was already quite interested when I saw the mailer sent out thus I readily agreed. Initially was supposed to join publicity with her but during the interview, I realised it was so not my cup of tea so I switched to marketing. As soon as the OC was formed, we had our first meeting and subsequently more & more meeting coupled with visits to JCH itself all the way till the 4 actual days.

It was indeed a wonderful experience working with a team of EFFICIENT,CONSIDERATE,THOUGHTFUL ,NICE, COOPERATIVE & FUN ppl ( my vocab abit limited if not I can add somemore), all these which I rarely or even do not see or experience when I am working with de club ppl. ( Ok maybe not everyone la but most) So far, in de club I was in vday & dnd OC in which I was entrusted with more responsibility for dnd. Frankly speaking, I was quite stressed up for dnd cuz my partner was rather busy & went mia-ing most of the time. Thankfully, I got gd frens ard me:)) I really enjoy working with pah ppl or rather most csc ppl. They make me feel so comfortable, less stressed as I know that if I face any problems, they will not leave me in a lurch & they never fail to make me laugh for every meetings!( So, tt is y i keep laughing k, not tt I am zi-high) I can see that everyone knows his or her role & responsibility and some even going the extra mile to get things done. It's also really encouraging to see the countless encouragements & appreciation from pauline, laura & hui min (top3) & other cells. All these really made my day so much better espec after facing rejections from potential sponsors altho I am pretty much immuned to it already. Sometimes, just simple words of ' Thank You' can really make a huge difference. Those times after meetings or paint collection, msges of appreciation to thank everyone for his or her help really made me feel good & I am sure the rest will feel the same too.

Gosh, it was supposed to be a short post but getting too naggy once again. Haha actually I got more to say which I think I will write in my 700 word gan yan! And after reading touching gan yans from those ppl who posted, I feel even more sad that PAH 08 has ended. Haha jiansheng is annoying, read the following convo:

jiansheng...the paints on our hands can be washed away, but not the colours we have brought to the kids and ourselves says:
hey you have a blog?
jiansheng...the paints on our hands can be washed away, but not the colours we have brought to the kids and ourselves says:
maybe you post that you are very popular in PAH OC

*michelle*- says:
NO NO
*michelle*- says:

jiansheng...the paints on our hands can be washed away, but not the colours we have brought to the kids and ourselves says:
everyone gan yan also mentioned you
*michelle*- says:
haha

Hello!! I am not so bhb can!! And he kept asking me for my gan yan!! But just for fun.. shall copy & paste what ppl wrote abt me:)

Wanwei:Michelle had always been a sweetie, since Day One. She would laugh and laugh and laugh and laugh at something once her laugh button is triggereeeeed. I could only watch in amusement. I could remember, really really really, that she had to talk to Mr. Goh in mandarin, and was rather traumatised for a period of time. But we did it, mich. =) well done. =)=)

Pauline: Will be missing the laughter from all of you haha and perhaps the most significant ones Michelle and Quek (Both of you really have very unique laughter haha)!

Ikea: the zi-high MICHELLE

Jiansheng: Michelle who has an embedded laugh button which can't stops once you trigger it and likes to order food from the same stall at the coffee shop.

Haha ok these are from the ppl who have posted their gan yans in the yahoo group so far! Well, I am honoured if I am able to brighten up all of your many dull boring moments but I am even more honoured to have you guys(pah oc) as my frens!! Like what Jiansheng mentioned in his gan yan, may this sp be the start of our friendship ok? Really love this line from his gan yan- The paints on our hands can be washed away, but not the colours we have brought to the kids and ourselves.

I love my PAH 08 OC:))
