SDE Dnd 2008 finally came to an end yest. Overall it was alittle bit better than what I had expected. It wasnt that bad as I had to admit that I had my fair share of fun & my usual clique went too! If not for them, I think the whole dnd will be quite sian. However, something seemed to be missing and I guessed the whole atmosphere was weird & not high enough. At least, it was a good & enriching learning experience. Being part of the dnd committee & taking on the role as a pageant head, I was given the opportunity to try out new things. One thing for sure,I learnt the importance of being decisive!! Sometimes I tend to wonder why I have such low-confidence, often I need affirmation from people b4 I will go ahead with my plans or do whatever I have in mind. When wei ting approached me to take up the role of pageant head, I sort of hesitated because I was afraid of not being able to do a good job. Recalling back those pre-pageant days whereby I had to start everything from scratch from coming up with a decent website, process of selecting pageant contestants, persuading them to join all the way to the pageant programme on the actually really makes me wonder how did I manage to do all that. Speaking of which, I really really would like to express my most sincere heartfelt thanks to all those who have been constantly helping me in ensuring the success of the pageant. Starting from the basics, yongda & vincent(website), hamzah (talentime video/songs/vouchers), pat, shumei,mei hong( sashes & other pageant stuff), shi min(catwalk songs), jiat sing (moulin rouge vcd)amenda,cherie,christina,ernest,john( finding contestants) & last but not least wansu for being such a wonderful prog head helping me to make sure that my pageant fits in nicely with the rest of the prog as well as the smooth running of it. In addition, a big THANK YOU also to the 10 pageant contestants who willingly or being sabo-ed for participating in the pageant. Without u guys, there will not be any pageant at all:)Despite some screw-ups here and there, I am glad that everything was over! At least, the monkey see monkey do game did help to liven up the atmosphere & for once I'm relieved that I made the right decision. Initially, wt wanted me to scrape off the game and just proceed with QNA but I was pretty against the idea cuz I feel that qna can be quite boring with no kick! Haha I am evil, I made the couples act out scenes like dinosaur & gorilla playing mahjong, spiderman & catwoman going to mkt to buy fish, ironman & powerpuff girl rowing a boat in a bathtub. It was super hilarious to see them acting out & trying to pass the actions down!! Sigh, was super busy the whole time that I could not eat a proper meal & there was hardly any free time for me to take MORE pics. Oh well, done with dnd and coming up next will be paint-a-home:)
